Year 6 have been developing their maths skills by practising how to plot co-ordinates accurately.
Year 3 and 4 wowed audiences this week with their fantastic production of Rock Bottom, performing three shows to packed halls. The play was upbeat, funny, and bursting with energy, showcasing the incredible talent and confidence of all the children involved.
This week we were delighted to welcome the Willow Man to school, who worked with all of our classes to help create a fantastic new willow shelter in our Forest School area. The children had a wonderful time learning new skills as they helped to weave and shape the willow, working together to bring the structure to life.
World Book Day was a wonderful celebration of reading in our school! The children came dressed in their comfy clothes and pyjamas, bringing along their blankets, pillows and favourite teddies to create cosy reading nests in the classroom.
This week, our Year 3 and 4 children proudly represented the school at the football festival held at The Downs. They played an impressive six matches across the day, demonstrating fantastic teamwork, determination and resilience in every game.
Year 6 ended their gymnastics unit with a session developing their confidence, balance and agility using a variety of equipment.
To celebrate National Storytelling Week, our nursery children and Wrens have been delighting in sharing books together and exploring the magic of stories.
This week, we have been exploring the role of web designers and looking at how to create our own websites. We’ve been learning about copyright, how to make sure our websites can be navigated easily and the importance of previewing the site before publishing.
Year 6 have impressed Miss Clarke with their excellent gymnastic skills. So far, we’ve explored rolls, counterbalances, and jumps.
