This Term’s Attendance Award

A big congratulations to Year 3 and 4 for winning the Autumn Term’s attendance award. Both classes had over 96% attendance.

Mrs Natasha Masefield

This week we have been saying a fond farewell to Mrs N Masefield. She has decided that she will not be returning to work after her maternity leave, but will be staying to look after her little bundle of joy and pursue other interests. We were very pleased that they both came in to visit us this week and wish her all the best for the future. We are sure that Mrs S Masefield will be keeping us updated with everything they get up to.

Christmas Bazaar

Christmas treasure hunts, santa suit races, raffles, mulled wine, pizza and craft stalls – our Christmas Bazaar had it all. Thank you for supporting the school, we hope you all had a great time. Final figures not yet in but we have raised well over £800 (not including the bar).

Carol Service

Thank you to everyone who attended the Carol Service on Wednesday night. The children put on a performance that we are all very proud of. We would like to say a special thank you to Mr Bradford for organising the concert.

Reception Class Places for 2025

Just a little reminder to parents with children who will be starting reception in September 2025 to ensure that they have applied for school places by the deadline date of 15th January. Please apply through your Local Authority. If you have family or friends with children who will be starting school next year, and think they may be interested in coming to look round the school, please ask them to get in touch. We will be very happy to see them in the New Year.

Clerk to the Governing Body

We are looking for a new Clerk to the Governing Body here at Colwall CofE Primary School and Nursery.  This is a wonderful position for someone looking for part-time work from home (6/10 hours per half term to suit) and who can commit to approximately 4/8 hours attending meetings at the school (2 to 3 meetings per half term)

The position would suit someone who is a strong administrator, has excellent knowledge of word, xls and is digitally savvy.  Full training for the position is given and we are looking for a start date of beginning of January (or earlier) to ensure a full handover.

For an information pack please contact clerk@colwall.hereford.sch.uk
