Snapshot of the Week

Year 5 had a fantastic time making delicious fajitas as part of their learning about healthy, well-balanced meals. They explored the importance of including a variety of nutritious food groups before developing their food preparation skills by carefully chopping, preparing and cooking their ingredients. The hall was filled with wonderful aromas as the fajitas were cooked, and everyone enjoyed tasting their finished creations. It was a fun, hands-on learning experience that helped the children develop valuable cooking skills while reinforcing the importance of making healthy food choices.

Year 5

Snapshot of the Week

Our annual Sports Day was a fantastic celebration of teamwork, determination and fun! The children showcased their wonderful athletic talents throughout the day, beginning with a range of exciting multi-skills events in the morning. In the afternoon, we were delighted to welcome parents and families to join us for a picnic lunch before cheering on the children in the thrilling running races. Every child gave their very best and were all superstars!

Sports Day

There was plenty of excitement beyond the children’s events too, with our parents putting in a great performance in the ever-popular parent race. The teachers’ race certainly entertained everyone, and of course, Miss Simpson, riding her trusty ostrich, was always going to race to victory! Congratulations to Perseverance Hill, who were crowned our Sports Day champions and proudly took home the Sports Day trophy. Well done to everyone who took part and helped make the day such a memorable success.

Colwall Youth Choir

On Sunday afternoon 12th July, 8 members of Colwall Youth Choir went to St Anne’s Church Bewdley. Robyn, Martha, Eliza, Arthur, Daisy, Eva, Ava, and Flora gave a concert to raise money for homeless people, as part of the Music for Sanctuary concert series. They sang as a choir, and some of the children sang solos. The concert was greatly appreciated and there were some lovely comments about their singing – including praise from a former Opera singer!

A retiring collection raised over £200 for Music for Sanctuary. Thank you to everyone who gave up their Sunday afternoon and especially to the children for being so fabulous.
