Green Tree School Gold Award

We are thrilled to announce that we have achieved the prestigious Woodland Trust ‘Green Tree School Gold Award’! This remarkable accomplishment reflects our commitment to environmental education and the importance of connecting with nature. Through various activities, projects and initiatives, our pupils have demonstrated their passion for the outdoors and their understanding of the vital role trees and forests play in our ecosystem. Congratulations to Mrs. Marten-Price, our dedicated Forest School Lead, and our wonderful pupils for this outstanding achievement, which not only highlights their hard work but also reinforces our school’s values of curiosity and courage in caring for our community and environment.

Snap Shot of the Week

In Year 2 we have started our new topic all about Plants! This week we have been learning all about the first stages in a plant’s life cycle. In this lesson, we dissected seeds and bulbs and observed them to identify any similarities and differences. Then the children had a go at their own observational drawings! 🌱

Year 2

Year 6 VE Day Tea Party

To mark VE Day, our Year 6 pupils stepped back in time to enjoy a traditional tea party in honour of this important historical event. The children sipped (decaffeinated!) tea and tucked into delicious cake, creating a warm and respectful atmosphere reminiscent of 1945.  The highlight of the afternoon was listening to powerful and moving stories shared by World War II veterans.  Their firsthand accounts brought history to life, helping our pupils to better understand and appreciate the sacrifices made by those who lived through the war.
