- The Friends- Do you want to help the school to raise money but struggle with time and child care? On Monday 22nd April, the Friends are holding an ideas sharing meeting for all parents to help us come up with some new fundraising plans and actions straight after school. The school staff are kindly putting on a film for the children to watch whilst the parents are in the meeting, enjoying a cup of tea and sharing their ideas so that childcare is not an issue. We look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible. Thank you for your support

Year 1
Snap Shot of the Week
Year 3
Year 3 have had a fantastic introduction to their new topic ‘Kingdom of the Pharaohs’ this week. After learning all about what life was like for Ancient Egyptian people, they had some time to explore some different texts from our class library – they are such curious historians that we just didn’t have enough time to explore all of their questions and ideas! Thank goodness we have next week to learn some more!
Year 5
Last term we had a fantastic time learning about our planet in our topic Active Earth. Take a look at some our work! We learnt about the layers of the Earth, how volcanoes form and what happens when they explode, and what to do in an earthquake.

Friday Night Cricket
Hello!
I am pleased to announce that the ECB have finally opened up registration for the All Stars and Dynamos cricket programs that we are running on a Friday night for children in school years Reception to Year 3 (All Stars) and Year 4 (Dynamos).
Please register your children on the links below:
All Stars – Reception to Year 3 Children – https://ecb.clubspark.uk/AllStars/Course/f2a6c185-9361-4004-a042-2dec435d3531
Dynamos – Year 4 Children https://ecb.clubspark.uk/Dynamos/Course/c82663d2-1c7b-4cdc-8df1-d089060c1402
Each child will receive a personalised T-Shirt. Unfortunately, the ECB have been unable to offer the equipment (bat, ball & bag) this year due to manufacturing issues.
The courses officially start on an 8 week program from the 10th May however as with the wider Junior program at Colwall , we will run the sessions from Friday 26th April for the duration of the Summer Term concluding the 19th July. This is an extra 5 evenings of cricket for your children to enjoy.
As always, we need parents to support the club and anyone willing to offer support to the coaches will receive a free beer and burger each Friday for your support. Please contact me directly if you are able to help in any capacity whether it be throwing a ball, encouraging the children, helping with registration etc. Each week we need around 10 grown ups to ensure the sessions are run smoothly and safely. Feel free to reach out to come and give it a try.
We look forward to hopefully welcoming you and your children on Friday evenings.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me on adamtseymour@yahoo.co.uk
I look forward to the warm sunny Friday evenings returning!
Thanks
Adam
