Snapshot of the week

Year 1 have been learning about the creation story and why it is important to Christians. Year 1 created 7 designs for each day to help them retell the creation story. Some of their designs included how God created the sea creatures and birds; the sun, moon and stars, and the land.

Snap Shot of the Week

Our Year 1 and 2 representatives had great fun at the Multi-Skills event this week. They showed lots of agility, balance and teamwork, in a wide range of activities. Well done to all of them!

Year 1 and 2 – Multi-Skills

Year 4

We’ve been developing our tennis skills recently in Year 4. Check out our amazing concentration faces!

Year 6

Music compositions

This week, Year 6 have been composing their own pieces in groups.  First, they had to create an 8-bar rhythm using quavers, crochets, minims as well as dotted notes in ¾ time.  They played this on untuned percussion before developing a melody using tuned instruments.

Congratulations to our former pupil Iona, who is Worcestershire’s new Young Poet Laureate 2024.

Iona is the youngest ever winner and impressed the judges with her clever wordplay and effective performance. As Young Poet Laureate, she will take part in various projects throughout the year, having her work published, and performing at events and festivals.

We are super proud of her and this fabulous achievement!

Friday Night Cricket

I am pleased to announce that the ECB have finally opened up registration for the All Stars and Dynamos cricket programs that we are running on a Friday night for children in school years Reception to Year 3 (All Stars) and Year 4 (Dynamos).

Please register your children on the links below:

All Stars – Reception to Year 3 Children –

Dynamos – Year 4 Children

Each child will receive a personalised T-Shirt. Unfortunately, the ECB have been unable to offer the equipment (bat, ball & bag) this year due to manufacturing issues.

The courses officially start on an 8 week program from the 10th May however as with the wider Junior program at Colwall , we will run the sessions for the duration of the Summer Term concluding the 19th July. This is an extra 5 evenings of cricket for your children to enjoy.

As always, we need parents to support the club and anyone willing to offer support to the coaches will receive a free beer and burger each Friday for your support. Please contact me directly if you are able to help in any capacity whether it be throwing a ball, encouraging the children, helping with registration etc. Each week we need around 10 grown ups to ensure the sessions are run smoothly and safely. Feel free to reach out to come and give it a try.

We look forward to hopefully welcoming you and your children on Friday evenings.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me on

I look forward to the warm sunny Friday evenings returning!
