Martha, Eliza and Edie sang at the Worcester Creative Arts Festival this weekend, at RGS. They sang in the Music Theatre classes for years 4&5. They were singing at the festival for the first time and they all performed fantastically. They had a comment sheet and certificate awarded by the adjudicator. Mrs Hardwick was very proud of their performances.

World Book Day was a wonderful celebration of reading in our school! The children came dressed in their comfy clothes and pyjamas, bringing along their blankets, pillows and favourite teddies to create cosy reading nests in the classroom. Snuggled up together, they spent the day enjoying their favourite books, sharing stories with friends and discovering new adventures through reading. It was a lovely way to celebrate the joy of books and encourage a lifelong love of reading in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. 📚🧸✨

The children have been investigating the ways that shapes with the same areas can have different perimeters and vice versa. They had practical challenges to explore which generated lots of great maths discussion and connections being made to other knowledge about converting between units of measure and square and cube numbers. The children also explored volume by constructing and deconstructing 3D shapes before applying this knowledge to the formulae for calculating volume.
