Friday 6th February 2026
Key Information
- Late arrivals – We have noticed that there are several children repeatedly arriving late to school. School start time is at 8.45am, by which time children should be in their classrooms ready to start the day and already engaging in early morning learning. Late arrivals cause disruption to other pupils and can be unsettling.
- School lunches after half term – Please ensure that you book school lunches for the week after half term, by midnight on Wednesday 11th February. If you miss this deadline, please send your child in with a packed lunch.
- Absence – If your child is unwell and unable to attend school, please contact the School Office before 9am, every day that your child is absent from School or Nursery. If you child has had sickness or diarrhea, they will need to remain off school for 48 hours from the last bout.

Pre-loved Uniform Sale
Parents and carers are warmly invited to support the PTA’s Second-Hand Sale taking place on Monday 9th February, after school from 3:00pm in the school hall. We have a fantastic range of pre-loved uniform and clothing items, all at the bargain price of £1, with lots of trousers available. The PTA has spent a great deal of time carefully organising everything so items are easy to find, making it quick and simple to pick up a bargain. As well as saving money, buying second-hand supports our ecological philosophy by reducing waste and helping us work towards our climate plan targets. Do come along, bring cash if possible, grab a bargain, and support this brilliant initiative.
Snap Shot of the Week
To celebrate National Storytelling Week, our nursery children and Wrens have been delighting in sharing books together and exploring the magic of stories. Throughout the week, the children have enjoyed listening to familiar tales, choosing their favourite books, and taking turns to “read” and talk about the pictures with their friends. These shared story times have supported language development, imagination and confidence, while also encouraging kindness, cooperation and a love of reading. It has been a joy to see their enthusiasm as stories brought them together and sparked so many wonderful conversations.

Snap Shot of the Week
We used number lines and part whole models to represent adjacent multiples.
We had to explain our reasoning for each part and how we could use the number line to find adjacent multiples using addition and subtraction.
