Key Information
- Rags to Riches – Please bring donations to the school office/plaza at Monday (2nd Feb) drop off.
- Late arrivals – We have noticed that there are several children repeatedly arriving late to school. School start time is at 8.45am, by which time children should be in their classrooms ready to start the day. Late arrivals cause disruption to other pupils and can be unsettling. Thank you for your co-operation with this.
- Car Parking – A reminder to everyone using the village hall car park, to please reverse into car parking space. This allows for greater visiblity when pulling out of spaces for the safety of our pupils.
- Absence – If your child is unwell and unable to attend school, please remember to contact the School Office before 9am, every day that your child is absent from School or Nursery. Thank you for your support with this.
- Flower Beds – Please ensure that children do not walk on the flower beds at on the plaza. A lot of time an effort has been put into planting bulbs to make the plaza look fabulous this Spring, and we have noticed that some of the new shoots have been trampled already.
- School lunches – School lunches for the whole of the Spring term are now available to book on MCAS. Please ensure that you book by midnight on Wednesday the week before.

Snap Shot of the Week
This week, Wrens have been inspired by icebergs in Antarctica. We had our very own icebergs and observed what happened to them when they were inside in a warm environment. It also enabled us to create differing shades of blue to represent the ocean. We used lots of scientific vocabulary, such as freezing, frozen, melting and shrinking.

Year 1 have been having lots of fun in gymnastics over the last couple of weeks. We’ve been exploring different ways of moving, jumping, and balancing, as well as how to safely take out and put away equipment.

Technology in Year 6
This week, we have been exploring the role of web designers and looking at how to create our own websites. We’ve been learning about copyright, how to make sure our websites can be navigated easily and the importance of previewing the site before publishing.
We have also used the VR headsets to enhance our learning about the circulatory system. We saw the heart beating, valves opening and closing and even looked inside a blood vessel and saw the parts of the blood. Year 6 did a fantastic job of articulating what they were looking at, applying their knowledge to help them to get the most out of this experience.
