Snapshot of the week
Wrens
It has been wonderful to welcome the children back for the start of our new ‘Minibeasts’ topic. We are thoroughly enjoying exploring ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eric Carle and worked together to create a beautiful butterfly with chalk. We had a minibeast hunt to identify different species and find their habitats. The children became garden designers and planted some flowering plants in our outdoor area. Hopefully, these will attract some super minibeasts… when the rain stops! Well done, Wrens!

Year 2
Expressive Art
This week, Year 2 started exploring our new Art topic, Expressive Art.
We started by looking at the artists, Marela Zacarias and Charlie French, who both use bright colours, textures, patterns and shapes to create their art.
We created collages with key words and pictures for each artist that really showcases their style and artwork.

Year 4
We’ve been delving into the 7 times tables this week. Today, we focused on adjacent multiples of 7. We used either the previous or the next multiple of 7 to show our understanding that we can add another 7 or subtract 7. For example: Three 7s are the same as four 7s subtract one 7. Take a look at our fabulous calculations.
