Snap Shot of the Week

We have had a great week in Nursery!

We have been developing our maths skills by comparing our heights on our wall chart.

We have enjoyed playing hide and seek, trying out different places to hide. Can you see me?

Developing our vocabulary by describing different textures and colours using feathers was a real favourite activity this week.

Year 1 have continued to enjoy their learning about plants this week.

As part of our learning, the children used their bodies to act out the different parts of a plant. We wiggled our fingers like roots growing down into the soil and stretched up tall like strong stems reaching towards the sunlight.

We also spent time observing real plants up close, carefully identifying the different parts we have been learning about, including roots, stems, leaves and flowers. The children were very enthusiastic and showed great curiosity during this activity.

To finish, the children labelled their own plant diagrams, demonstrating their growing understanding of the structure of plants.

Well done, Year 1, for your fantastic effort and enthusiasm this week

In PE we have continued building our skills within orienteering. We have been using our folding and thumbing technique alongside using a compass to follow a set of instructions.
