Key Information
- Welcome back!!- It has been wonderful to see everyone after the summer break and the children have had a great start to the term and have enjoyed seeing what changes have been made to school over the Summer.
- Photographer – The photographer is coming to do children’s portraits on Monday 16th September. If you have younger siblings not in school or nursery children who are not in Nursery on Monday, you can bring them to the school hall at 8.30am to be photographed with their sibling.
- Computers – Over the summer our IT support has been working hard to get us moved over to the Cloud. Unfortunately, this has meant that we have experienced a few teething problems and for part of last week our access to the computers was very restricted, and I know some parents had problems accessing MCAS to book dinners and wrap around care. We apologies for any inconvenience this has caused and thank you for your continuing patience. MCAS is now fully operational, please ensure that next week’s lunches are booked by the end of Wednesday. If you are still experiencing problems or have not activated your account, please contact the office.
- Car Park – Please ensure that you drive carefully in the Village Hall Car Park. The speed limit is 5 miles per hour. There have also been some reports of people not reversing into spaces when they park, please ensure that you do this so that it is safer pulling out forwards when you leave. It is everyone’s responsibility to keep our children and their families safe. Thank you for your support.
- No Dogs on the Plaza – Please remember that dogs are not allowed on the school plaza. This is in line with Government Policy and for the safety and wellbeing of our children.

Please help to support us by putting your blue tokens in the Colwall Primary box when you are shopping and spread the word to family and friends. The last day for adding tokens is 30th September. Every little helps!!

Snap Shot of the Week
What a fantastic week. We have welcomed back so many children and we have new members of our nursery family. As you can imagine this week has been about settling back in and exploring our resources.

Snap shot of the week.
Year 1 have been writing some silly sentences in their phonics lessons! They hope that you enjoy reading them! I wonder which other animals might like to go to the moon?

Today, Year 3 conducted a Science investigation to see how much sugar is in our drinks! We predicted how much sugar we thought there was in a 500ml drink. Some thought that there might be 30g, others thought there might be 300g! We found that, in one 500ml bottle of Dr Pepper there is 21.5g of sugar, and 22.5g in Fanta!

This week in Science, we dissected flowers and labelled each part. Here are some of our dissected flowers!
