A Farewell to Miss Chambers

In the spotlight, you’ve shone so bright,
Guiding us through each day and night.
With lessons like songs, you’ve taught us well,
In this grand musical, you cast your spell.

From the first act of learning, you set the stage,
With passion and kindness, you turned every page.
You sparked our curiosity, let our dreams take flight,
In the theatre of knowledge, you were our guiding light.

With a flourish and grace, you’ve danced through the years,
Through laughter and challenges, you’ve calmed all our fears.
Like a leading role, you’ve played your part,
Leaving echoes of wisdom, forever in our heart.

As the curtain draws close, and it’s time to depart,
We’ll carry your lessons, each note, every art.
Though the stage may feel empty, your spirit will stay,
In the music of memories, you’ll never fade away.

So here’s to you, our beloved teacher,
A true star in our lives, a lifelong feature.
May your next act be filled with joy and delight,
As you take on new roles, let your light shine bright!

Fire Safety Training

On Wednesday, staff participated in a fire safety training session aimed at ensuring a safe environment for our entire school community. The training covered essential topics such as identifying fire hazards, proper use of fire extinguishers, and emergency evacuation procedures. Staff members also engaged in hands-on practice to reinforce their learning and boost confidence in handling potential fire-related emergencies. This proactive approach highlights our ongoing commitment to safety and preparedness, creating a secure space where students and staff can thrive.

Here are some pictures of the staff in action!

In Year 4 this week we took our learning outside. We have started looking at fractions greater than 1 and numbering number lines identifying how many parts we need for certain denominators. The children were given a mixed number which they then had to create a number line and then place this fraction on their number line. It was amazing to watch as the children had great teamwork and were able to work through multiple numbers.
