Mr Seamus Bradford BA (Hons), PGCE, NPQSL
Golden Eagle (Year 6) Class Teacher, Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)
I joined Colwall in 2019 as a class teacher and I am proud to now be Deputy Headteacher. Music and drama were my favourite subjects at school and I continue to be passionate about them today. I’m always looking for ways to introduce more opportunities for the children to engage with creative subjects both within the classroom and through extra-curricular activities. My favourite hobby is miniature wargaming. I love spending time painting my miniatures; usually while listening to a good audiobook. Colwall is a very special school with a loving community who look after one another and I feel privileged to teach here.

I’m delighted to have joined the team here at Colwall and feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such a nurturing and inclusive school community. During my own school days, my favourite subjects were R.E., English and Music – though as a teacher, I’ve also come to really enjoy teaching Maths and Science. When I’m not in school, I’m either spending time with my family or have my head in a book – I’m particularly partial to a good crime novel! I’m very excited to continue getting to know the children in my class, as well as those across the wider school family.

I am so excited to teach Year 2 again at Colwall and feel lucky to have chosen to join a school with such a welcoming and nurturing environment. I am passionate about helping children achieve their full potential and love finding exciting, innovative ways to spark children’s curiosity and imagination. During my own time at school, I loved English and Music – which have become my favourites to teach now! When I’m not teaching, I enjoy singing, baking and reading, as well as wild swimming!

I am beyond excited to be teaching at Colwall. I enjoy everything outdoors and having the opportunity to bring the classroom outside. My favourite subjects are PE, Maths and anything creative where together we can delve deep into the children’s own creativity. In my free time I enjoy playing netball at various levels and racing motorcars around a dirt track whilst exploring the country with my rescue dog.

Miss Rhiannon Clarke
Golden Eagle (Year 6) Class Teacher
I am delighted to be teaching in Year 6 at Colwall. My teaching journey began here during my first teaching placement, and from that very first day I felt an amazing sense of belonging and community- something I am thrilled to return to and contribute towards. At school, my favourite subjects were science, art and history, and I am passionate about bringing that same enthusiasm into the classroom. Outside of teaching, I am a qualified dance teacher, and I also enjoy baking, sewing, and taking my fluffy dog for walks. My favourite part of the school day is connecting with the children, ensuring that every child feels valued and supported, enabling them to truly shine.

Mrs Jess Davies
PPA Cover Teacher and Flexi-School Lead
For me, the best bit about being a teacher is the fact I’m always learning too – I love hearing about the children’s interests and finding ways to include their passions in our lessons. My favourite memories of primary school were listening to my teacher read and finishing each day on the inevitable cliffhanger! I am still passionate about reading and love nothing more than sharing a story and a good book chat with the children in my class. In my free time, I also love getting outdoors, exploring nature and hiking with my little family. I started at Colwall in 2017 and have loved being part of the team through the new school build and all the exciting changes since!

Mrs Emily Marten-Price
Forest School Leader
As the Forest School Leader at Colwall since 2024, I feel incredibly fortunate to spend my days nurturing children’s natural curiosity and sense of wonder. Forest School is a unique space where children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, take risks and connect deeply with the natural world around them. I am passionate about creating hands-on, meaningful experiences that help children develop confidence, resilience and a lifelong love of nature.
At Forest School, no two days are the same. Whether we’re building dens, spotting wildlife or simply watching the changing seasons, I love seeing the joy, creativity, and enthusiasm that nature inspires in our learners. It’s a privilege to guide them as they discover their place in the world and grow through exploration and play.

Mrs Denise Dunk

I have worked at Colwall for 10 years and I have worked in all year groups across both Key Stages. When I was at school one of my favourite subjects was Maths, I still enjoy it now. When I get some spare time, I also enjoy gardening and sewing. I love working at Colwall because it has friendly staff and lovely children that always lift my spirit. It is like my second home.

Mrs Sarah Phillips
Wrens (Reception) Class
I started at Colwall Primary School in September 2006. Although I loved every subject at school, I especially enjoyed cooking lessons, at home I love to bake. Outside of school, I enjoy walking my Norfolk Terrier Hattie, as well as visiting the theatre. Colwall Primary School has an idyllic setting below the Malvern Hills making it a lovely place to work. It is also very rewarding to see pupils learning new skills and developing their understanding in lessons.

Mrs Julie Jennings
Nursery / Blackbird Class (Year 3)
I started working at Colwall school in 1999, and hadn’t planned to stay so long. I’ve made life long friends and enjoy being part of a team. There’s never a dull moment and I am constantly learning from the children. During my own days at school, my favourite subjects were PE, Art, English Literature and History. I am fortunate to live in Colwall and love nothing more than walking the hills and cycling in the surrounding area. When I am at home, I enjoy reading, drawing listening to music and growing vegetables on my allotment.

Mrs Natalie Edwards
Goldfinch (Year 1) Class and Kingfisher (Year 2)
My time at Colwall started as a reading helper when my daughters attended this school. After going to college, I started my first role in 2017 in Year 3 as a Teaching Assistant. Since then, I have mainly spent time supporting children in KS2 however I am now in KS1 and enjoying that too. I love spending time at school, hearing the children have fun with their friends, and seeing all the fantastic costumes on dress-up days. When home I love spending time having BBQs with my family and friends and I also love taking my mischievous dog on long walks in the woods.

I have worked at Colwall for 17 years. I have worked in every class and enjoy the challenges each year group presents. From all around the world in Wrens to surprise Year six trips. When I was at school I was a solid middle of the road all-rounder. I was lucky enough to play the violin and oboe! I played hockey and basketball and represented my school on many an occasion. I love being in my garden and we grow veg and lots of lovely flowers. I love working at Colwall as it’s a warm happy place full of great staff and wonderful children.

Miss Katherine Buckle

I started at Colwall nine years ago, I joined the same time as some as three other colleagues (and now they are really good friends) and I am grateful to work here with such wonderful people. My favourite subject when I was at school was art. I still enjoy art now and I sometimes go to art classes with Mrs Harrison. When I am not at school, I enjoy playing darts, meeting up with friends, drawing and going away on holidays. Colwall is such a wonderful place to work, the staff are caring and passionate about what they do and there is such a good atmosphere all around, not forgetting the beautiful views of the hills! I love making a positive difference into the children’s lives, nothing is more rewarding!
