Wren Class Plant Sale
Wrens’ green fingers worked hard to grow vegetables and flowers from seed with the help of Bridget from Caves Folly. We welcomed our families to the Wrens Plant Sale where we sold our produce and even provided grown ups with special instructions for how to grow a beanstalk. We made £78.90 and the Wrens were absolute superstars!

Outdoor Classroom Day 2024
In celebration of Outdoor Classroom Day, this year we explored the work of Wassily Kandinsky. We then worked collaboratively as a whole school to produce a giant art work in chalk on our playground. We are incredibly grateful for the help of Mr and Mrs Maiden who brought their drone to capture some fantastic photographs. We celebrated with an extra half an hour playtime!

Snap Shot of the Week
This week Year 1 have been using directions to give the Beebots an instruction. They had lots of fun instructing the Beebots and using buttons to explore directions. Our key words included, left, right, forward, and backward.
Year 1
Snapshot of the week
We had a lovely time making wild art this week! We planted lots of veggies into our bed and also started our new art topic – stick transformation. Our art topic is all about using natural materials. We began by finding things in our forest school area that we could use to create art. Lots of the children used mud to join their materials together and what an excellent job they did!
Year 2
Snap Shot of the Week
This week, Year 4 have been preparing to learn their new model text in English. The children were excited to create canal safety posters in response to a letter from “the local council” warning of the dangers of water. Hopefully this activity gave the children lots of ideas that they will be able to use in their writing over the coming weeks
Year 4
Year 6
Year 6 have begun rehearsals for Oliver! All of a sudden the hall is full of Dickensian ne’er-do-wells. We’ve visited a Victorian workhouse, an undertakers, the streets of London and a dingy thieves hideout. The school has also been filled with the sound of singing – “Food Glorious Food” and “Consider Yourself” being two firm favourites! We can’t wait for what’s next!
